Only physicians with competence in immunosuppressive therapy and the management of organ transplant recipients should prescribe mycophenolic sodium (Myfortic). Prophylaxis of Organ Rejection in Kidney Transplantation (Myfortic) mycophenolic acid is used to prevent organ rejection in adult kidney transplant recipients. Myfortic is used to prevent organ rejection in children aged 5 and up who have had a kidney transplant and have been on it for at least 6 months. In addition to cyclosporine and corticosteroids, Myfortic will be taken.
